The Asian Black Bear is a medium sized bear native to Asia. It inhabits forests, xeric shrublands, grasslands, and deserts. It is omnivorous and eats a diet consisting of fruit, berries, seeds, nuts, honey, grass, fish, birds, small mammals, and carrion. The Asian Black Bear is nocturnal by feeding during the night and sleeping during the day. It is capable of climbing high up in the trees. It lives on an average of twenty-five years in the wild.
