The Eastern Imperial Eagle is a large bird of prey. It inhabits forests in mountains, hills, and along rivers. It may also live in steppes, grasslands, agricultural areas, and semideserts. It eats a carnivorous diet consisting of small mammals, reptiles, birds, and carrion. The Eastern Imperial Eagle possesses keen eyesight that enables it to spot small prey from high in the skies. It has a lifespan of around twenty-six years in the wild.
