Ambassador Fatimie attends Uzbek Independence Day reception

September 27, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended the Independence Day reception of the Republic of Uzbekistan at Hotel Okura in Tokyo.

An important neighbor, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie on this auspicious occasion wished H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Farrukh Tursunov, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, sincerest congratulations. Furthermore, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed hope that they two would serve to create further mutually-beneficial ties between their two respective nations.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was able to meet with a number of other key guests. To H.E. Mr. Minoru Kiuchi (pictured above), Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador expressed sincerest gratitude for Japan’s role, and within that the key role of the Ministry, for cooperation in Afghanistan that has led to the betterment of lives and the spread of peace. Ambassador Fatimie also met with (all pictured below) Special Advisor to H.E. Prime Minister Abe Mr. Isao Iijima, H.E. Ambassador Abdul-Rahman Humood A.R. Al-Otaibi of the State of Kuwait, and H.E. Ambassador Yousef Mohamed Bilal of the State of Qatar. Furthermore, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie met with Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of several nations, Vice Chairman Yoshio Nakamura of Keidanren, H.E. Senior Managing Director Ambassador Hiroyuki Yushita of the International Friendship Exchange Council, Secretary General Noriyuki Yonemura of the Intellectual Collaboration Group to Promote Market-Oriented Economies, and Ms. Yoko Sakata of NHK.
