Ambassador Fatimie welcomes back Managing Director Yamaguchi and Senior Architect Iokawa of GYROS

May 30, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie welcomed back to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo Managing Director Takao Yamaguchi and Senior Architect Marie Iokawa of GYROS Cooperation. Mr Sayed Asghar Amiri and Ms. Parwana Paikan, Third Secretaries, also represented the Embassy at the meeting.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie opened by expressing renewed appreciation to Gyros for the attention it pays to key infrastructural projects in Afghanistan. As Gyros’ work is an extension of the will and generosity of the Japanese people and Government to support Afghanistan’s peace and development, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie hailed the life-bettering affects of this crucial partnership.

Mr. Yamaguchi and Ms. Iokawa explained of the group’s plans for and progress towards the projects at both Kabul International Airport and Bamiyan Airport. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed confidence that this would further enhance Afghanistan’s connectivity domestically and internationally.
