Ambassador Fatimie attends Georgian National Day Reception, meets H.E. Minister Panjikidze

May 23, 2013 : Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended the National Day reception of Georgia at Okura Hotel in Tokyo.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the opportunity to individually greet both the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, H.E Ms. Maia Panjikidze; and H.E. Ambassador Revaz Beshidze. To each, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed his sincerest congratulations on this auspicious event. Furthermore, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie offered deepest gratitude, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the role the nation has played in cooperating in Afghanistan's security, strengthening the young democracy and freedom.For her part, H.E. Ms. Panjikidze expressed her nation's will to continue to contribute to support Afghanistan.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also had the opportunity to meet other key attendees at the event. From the Japanese Government, the Ambassador met H.E. Senior Vice-Minister of the Cabinet Office Yasutoshi Nishimura (pictured above, left); Hon. Mr. Ichiro Aisawa, Chairman of the Election System Research Commission of the Liberal Democratic Party; and Mr. Hideki Hosaka of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Central Asia and Caucasus Division. To these important individuals, the Ambassador was able to convey eternal gratitude for Japan’s inspiring and life-bettering support in Afghanistan since 2002. All responded with kind overtures of continuing partnership between their esteemed government and Afghanistan, with H.E. Senior Vice-Minister Nishimura in particular pledging his personal support and affirming the importance of peace in Afghanistan for the world. Additionally, Ambassador greeted Mr. Norihiro Ohkawa of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Public Security Bureau. From the private sector, the Ambassador met a number of other outstanding guests, including from the Min-On Concert Association Mr. Hiroyasu Kobayashi. {resident and Head of the organization's museum; and Mr. Maki Horie, Managing Supervisor of the Public Relations and Advertising Department's Planning Division.
