Ambassador Fatimie attends Senegalese National Day reception

May 14, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended the National Day reception of the Republic of Senegal. On this auspicious occasion, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the distinct honor of expressing sincerest congratulations to H.E. Ambassador Bouna Semou Diouf. As Senegal holds a key membership within the OIC, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie further took the opportunity to offer, on behalf of the people and Government of Afghanistan, renewed deepest appreciation for the support that the Organization and its member states have provided to Afghanistan’s reconstruction and to bettering the lives of the Afghan people.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the additional pleasure of meeting with a number of key attendees of the event. From the Japanese Government, the Ambassador met with the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Sumio Kusaka, to whom the Ambassador was able to convey the eternal gratitude for Japan’s inspiring and life-bettering support in Afghanistan. From within the diplomatic community, Ambassador Fatimie was able to speak with a number of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors to Japan. Within this, meaningful conversation was held with H.E. Abdul-Rahman Humood A.R. Al-Otaibi of the State of Kuwait. Ambassador Fatimie spoke with H.E. Farukh Amil of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and expressed heartfelt congratulations on the nation’s recent general election. The opportunity was also presented to warmly greet H.E. Ambassador Datuk Shaharuddin bin Md Som of Malaysia, to whom the Ambassador also offered sincerest congratulations for the noble nation’s recent general election.
