Ambassador Fatimie attends WFWP’s 21st Anniversary event

March 13, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended an event organized to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP). The event was attended by a large number of friends and supporters of the organization, including representatives of the diplomatic community in Tokyo.

Ambassador Fatimie had the opportunity to speak with representatives of the WFWP, including President Yoshi Tsuboi the host, Ms. Hiroko Tsuji (pictured on stage), Chairwomen Hiroko Tanaka and Ikuko Nakao, Ms. Keiko Kawai, and Ms. Hiroko Matsufuji, to whom he expressed sincerest appreciation on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the group’s grassroots efforts to support the Afghan people, which had began in 1994.

Amnog other key dignitaries, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also was able to greet H.E. Ambassador Marcos Rodriguez Costa of the Republic of Cuba, First Secretary Baby Rani Karmakar of the Embassy of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Eiji Tokuno of the Universal Peace Federation, and Director Akiko Kitatani of NPO 2050.
