Ambassador Fatimie attends reception in honor of Independence Day of Kosovo.

February 18, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended a reception in honor of the 5th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo at the Hotel Okura in Tokyo. On this auspicious day, fondly remembered by the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for having the honor to be the first to recognize the Republic’s independence, Ambassador Fatimie extended sincerest congratulations, on behalf of the Afghan people and Government, to H.E. Ambassador Ahmet Shala and the Ambassadress.

Additionally, Ambassador Fatimie had the great honor to meet with Madame Sadako Ogata (pictured above; H.E. Ambassador and Ambassadress Shala can also be seen), special advisor to the Foreign Ministry and President Akihiko Tanaka of JICA. Ambassador was able to cordially discuss a number of matters of mutual interest with this long-time friend. Among the other great guests that the Ambassador was able to greet were Hon. Mr. Isao Iijima, Honorary Consul-General of the Republic of Sierra Leone and Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of a number of nations.
