Ambassador Fatimie joins group of Their Excellencies Ambassadors, H.E. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Abe to attend dinner hosted by H.E. Ambassador Faily of the Republic of Iraq

February 12, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended a dinner event hosted by H.E. Ambassador Lukman Faily (pictured third from the right) at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Tokyo. The evening was also blessed with the attendance of H.E. Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Toshiko Abe of Japan and Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of the respective nations of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H.E Ambassador Demiye Haddad; the United Arab Emirates, H. E. Ambassador Saeed Ali Al Nowais; the Republic of Tunesia, H.E. Ambassador Elyes Kasri; and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Ambassador-Designate Farukh Amil. Mr. Wataru Otsuka, Executive Assistant to H.E. Dr. Abe, was also in attendance.

Ambassador Fatimie expressed his deepest gratitude to H.E. Ambassador Faily for organizing such an excellent gathering. They agreed that the working with Japan and like-minded nations is important not only for their respective young democracies, but for the world in whole. Ambassador Fatimie further took the opportunity to express to H.E. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Abe deepest gratitude for the generous and life-bettering role that Japan continues to play in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, specifically hailing the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Throughout the evening, a number of issues of mutual concern were discussed between those in attendance.
