Ambassador Fatimie, Embassy welcome to Japan H.E. Minister Najafi, hold reception H.E.’s honor

November 12-14, 2012: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo have wished a heartfelt welcome to Japan to H.E. Dr. Daoud Ali Najafi, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation. H.E. Dr. Najafi is visiting Japan for a series of highly-important meetings and activities and is accompanied by an esteemed delegation, which includes Mr. Ahmed Tawliq Karimi, Advisor to H.E. the Minister; and Mr. Basir Ahmad Ansari, Secretary of H.E. the Minister. Embassy officials are accompanying this delegation as necessary to support their actions in Japan.

On November 14, Ambassador Fatimie and the staff of the Embassy hosted a welcome reception for H.E. Minister Najafi and His accompanying delegation. Taking the opportunity before the commencement of the reception to speak with H.E. the Minister, Ambassador Fatimie expressed his great pleasure that this important visit had come to fruition. Speaking on the ability of the transport and aviation sector to revitalize the Silk Road hub, Afghanistan, Ambassador Fatimie praised H.E. the Minister on His noble work to partner with the great nation of Japan and its people to bring further betterment to the lives of Afghans.

The reception served as an excellent way to commemorate this very special visit. It was attended by a number of key persons, including Ms. Sedeka Eto, a prominent Afghan residing in Tokyo; the visiting representatives of Miriam Girls’ School; and representatives from Tokyo Woman’s University; among others. All of the aforementioned are pictured below with Ambassador Fatimie and the Embassy’s diplomatic corps.
