Ambassador Fatimie attends “On-Farm Water Management for Afghanistan” training course closing ceremony

September 13, 2012: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended a closing ceremony for the successfully implemented training course for “On-Farm Water Management for Afghanistan” at the office of the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship. The program was organized by the Agricultural Development Consultants Association (ADCA) in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries. Speakers including Director Yukiharu Harada of ADCA and Assistant Director Yoshio Ishizaki of the Ministry. Ambassador Fatimie was also extended the opportunity to address the participants and related attendees, encouraging those involved to take back the knowledge that was gained in this session and implement it for the benefit of the people of Afghanistan. As Afghanistan is a nation where the majority of people are working in agriculture or related fields, improvements in water management can make immense contributions to the nation.

Ambassador Fatimie also took the opportunity to present for President Shigeyasu Aoyama of ADCA a letter of appreciation, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the excellent initiative.
