Ambassador Fatimie welcomes to the Embassy visitors from Ageo-city Oishi Junior High School

June 1, 2012: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie and staff welcomed to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo a group of more than 20 visitors from Ageo-city Oishi Junior High School of Saitama.

The guests were welcomed by Ambassador Fatimie, who spoke of the importance of fostering ties between future leaders of Japan such as these and the youth of Afghanistan; the Ambassador further expressed how sincerely grateful he and Afghanistan are to the people of Japan for the generous and selfless support provided towards Afghan peace and development. The visit featured a tour of the Embassy premises, a presentation on Afghanistan and Afghan-Japanese relations, and a question and answer session with Mr. Jason Pratt, Public Affairs Officer. In closing, the Ambassador presented the school with gifts of Afghan artistry and a book of Afghan photos.
