Ambassador Dr. Fatimie extends cordial greeting to H.E. Ambassador Tanin

July 23, 2014: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie extended a most cordial greeting at the Embassy to H.E. Ambassador Zahrir Tanin, the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the United Nations. Mr. Mohammad Yasir Karimi, Mrs. Orya Afzali Farima, and Ms. Parwana Paikan were also present from the Embassy.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie able at the outset to express what a distinct honor it is to have H.E. Ambassador Tanin in Japan and furthermore visiting the Embassy. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie further lauded H.E. Ambassador Tanin for His excellent achievements in His very important post. Given H.E. Ambassador Tanin’s key role as Chair of the intergovernmental negotiations on the equitable representation and increase in the membership of the Security Council, He was able to share information on current discussions regarding UNSC reform. A number of other topics were also discussed.
