Ambassador Dr. Fatimie attends Azerbaijan Republic Day reception

May 20, 2014: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended a reception in honor of the Republic Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan at Okura Hotel in Tokyo.

On this auspicious occasion, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was able to offer sincerest congratulations, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to H.E. Ambassador Gursel Ismayilzada, both in relation to the day and for the great achievements that the republic has made since achieving independence.

The reception was further significant for offering the chance to greet many dignified friends. Amongst these, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the pleasure of speaking with H.E. Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Takao Makino, to whom the Ambassador renewed, on behalf of the people and the Government, heartfelt gratitude for the truly effective assistance that Japan has provided towards Afghan peace and development, and for H.E.’s role in the recent ICG meeting in Japan. Similar sentiments of gratitude for Japan's kind efforts in Afghanistan were also expressed to Hon. Representative Ichiro Aisawa, whom Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also spoke with. This kindly included attending and offering remarks at the Embassy’s reception for the occasion. Additionally, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was able to meet with a number of Their Excellencies, the Ambassadors of missions represented in Tokyo.
