Ambassador Fatimie attends Republic Day of India reception

January 29, 2014: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie had the honor of attending a reception to mark the 65th Republic Day of India at Hotel Okura in Tokyo.

On this auspicious occasion, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the pleasure of wishing, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, sincerest congratulations to H.E. Ambassador Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie furthermore expressed gracious appreciation for the partnership that India has offered in key areas to support development within Afghanistan.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the excellent opportunity to meet with a number of important individuals at the event, including H.E. former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori, now the Organizing Committee for the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics; H.E. Senior Vice-Minister of the Cabinet Office Yasutoshi Nishimura; and Hon. Representative Hisayuki Fujii, to each of whom Ambassador Dr. Fatimie described the eternal gratitude that all Afghans feel for Japan’s generous and life-bettering assistance, praising their respective roles within. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also met with many of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of many of the diplomatic missions in Tokyo and diplomats from the Embassy of India, including Third Secretary Jitendra Rawat.
