Ambassador Fatimie attends lecture by H.E. Prime Minister Erdoğan of the Republic of Turkey

January 7, 2014: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended a lecture entitled “Turkey and Japan: From Historical Friendship to Strategic Partnership” by H.E. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of the Republic of Turkey at Nikkei Hall in Tokyo.

The lecture was preceded by opening remarks by Mr. Tsuneo Kita, President & CEO of Nikkei Inc.

In his very well-delivered remarks, H.E. the Prime Minister discussed a wide range of timely issues including Turkish-Japanese relations; the Republic of Turkey’s economic outlook, and the role of the Republic in global peace, including in partnership with Afghanistan, Palestine, and other nations. Within the final area, he made such comments as the need to ensure an end to any state-sponsored terrorism, saying no such thing exists as a good terrorist. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed highest praise for the inspired and inspiring lecture.
