Ambassador Fatimie, Ambassadress attend Qatari National Day reception

December 18, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie and the Ambassadress attended the National Day reception of the State of Qatar at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the pleasure of expressing sincerest congratulations on the occasion, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to H.E. Ambassador Yousef Mohamed Bilal (pictured above), to whom Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also spoke of the deep appreciation that exists for the State’s contributions to Afghanistan’s peace and development.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was able to meet with several high-profile guests at this event. Within this, the Ambassador was able to greet Hon. Representative Shitaro Ito. To Hon. Mr. Ito (pictured below, top), Ambassador Dr. Fatimie detailed the positive impact that Japanese partnership has brought to an inclusive set of sectors in Afghanistan, expressing the heartfelt appreciation of the Afghan people for this generous support. Hon. Mr. Ito in turn graciously offered assurances that the partnership would continue.

Also at the event, the Ambassador met longtime, close friend Hon. Councillor Dr. Kazuyuki Hamada (pictured above and below, bottom) and His distinguished family, the noble Mrs. Kenshiro Matsunami, many of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of the missions in Japan, Mr. Alexander Suderow of the Embassy of the United States of America, Director Dr. Chin-Huai Keong of Garden Clinic Hiroo, Mr. Shiro Takahashi of Waseda University, and a number of other individuals.
