Ambassador Fatimie attends Jenesys 2.0 Workshop Presentation

December 16, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended the workshop presentation of JENESYS 2.0’s Short-term Invitation Programme for Students from SAARC Countries. The program, organized by the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) invited over 70 students from Afghanistan and many from Bangladesh to learn of Japanese culture. Students visited a number of locations throughout Japan of cultural and academic significance.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie took the opportunity to greet representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, including Mr. Toshihiro Matsutani of the Southwest Asia Division, and from JICE Mr. Erito Uchiyama, extending, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, deepest gratitude for the organization of this important program. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was also able to greet H.E. Ambassador Masud Bin Momen of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Additionally, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie met with Mr. Shigenori Takahashi of Hotel Springs Makuhari.

To the participating Afghan students, Ambassador Fatimie offered encouragement, requesting them to use what they experienced in Japan for the benefit of their communities.
