Ambassador Fatimie expresses condolences over passing of H.E. former President Mandela

December 10, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie visited the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa where he signed a condolence book following the passing of H.E. the highly-respected former President Nelson Mandela. In his message, Dr. Fatimie offered sincerest condolences on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, I would like to express sincerest condolences on the loss of H.E. Mr. Nelson Mandela, former President of the Republic of South Africa. His legacy of unity, compassion, and bravery have in many ways made the world a better place. Humanity’s capacity for nobility was demonstrated in Nelson Mandela. Our sympathies are with those who mourn this loss.
