Ambassador Fatimie expresses condolences over the tragic shopping mall shooting in Kenya

September 26, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie visited the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya where he signed a condolence book for victims of the tragic shooting at the Westgate shopping center. In his message, Dr. Fatimie offered sincerest condolences on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

Allow me, on behalf of my Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to express sincerest condolences following the tragic terrorist act in Nairobi that took the lives of Kenyans and internationals alike. While the reach of terrorism is great, we stand united against its evil and together with you in sympathy. Our prayers are with the families of the survivors and the entire Republic of Kenya.
