Ambassador Fatimie participates in Afghan study session hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Matsunami.

September 10, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie participated in an Afghan study session organized by President Kenshiro Matsunami (pictured above), President of the Educational Foundation of Nippon Sport Science University Group and his esteemed wife. At the event, President Matsunami, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie, and Minister Councillor Maeda (pictured bottom) of the Japanese Embassy in Kabul presented on the current developments within Afghanistan. Ambassador Fatimie particularly focused on the developments since 2001 and Japan’s role within, whereas Mr. Maeda discussed the potential Japanese role in Afghanistan in the coming years.

120 participants attended this informative event. From the Embassy, Mr. Mohammad Yasir Karimi, Second Secretary; Mrs. Orya Afzali Fatima, Second Secretary; Ms. Parwana Paikan, Third Secretary; and Mr. Jason Pratt, Public Affairs Officer; also were in attendance.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was able to speak with a number of key individuals and was able to offer deepest gratitude to President and Mrs. Matsunami, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for organizing this event and for steadfast friendship.
