Ambassador Fatimie expresses condolences over the passing of H.E. Foreign Minister Abdullah

August 27, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie visited the Embassy of the Republic of Maldives where he signed a condolence book for H.E. Dr. Abdul Samad Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, who sadly passed away. In his message, Dr. Fatimie offered sincerest condolences on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The full text of the message follows below:

Allow me, on behalf of my Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to express sincerest condolences on the loss of H.E. Dr. Abdul Samad Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives. A medical doctor who so wanted to help his people that he answered the call of your noble government to take this important post, we are consoled that his contributions were meaningful. Our sympathies are with those who mourn this loss.

Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was also able to express condolences directly to H.E. Ambassador Ahmed Khaleel of the Republic of Maldives.
