Ambassador Fatimie attends reception honoring independence of United States of America and founding of Tokyo American Club

June 30, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended a reception hosted by Mr. John Edward Durkin, President and Board of Governors of the Tokyo American Club, and Mrs. Durkin, in honor of the independence of the United States of America and of the founding of Tokyo American Club (TAC) at TAC.

On this auspicious day, the Ambassador had the great pleasure of wishing, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, sincerest congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Durkin, and to the Ambassador of the United States of America to Japan, H.E. Mr. John V. Roos, also attending the event. He also expressed his gratefulness to Mr. and Mrs. Durkin for this warm reception.

Ambassador Fatimie graciously shared, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, his eternal gratitude to the people and the Government of the United States of America, through H.E. Mr. John V. Roos, for their selfless support and their great cooperation in development and the peacekeeping process in Afghanistan. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie shared with H.E. Ambassador Roos his optimism for the upcoming presidential election in Afghanistan and his confidence in the increasing and strengthening democracy. The two Ambassadors then spoke about mutual interests and further cooperation in Afghanistan.

Ambassador Fatimie was also able to meet prestigious guests, such as Mr. Dieter Haberl, President and CEO of Lacoste Fabricant CO., LTD. in Japan; Ms. Ginger Griggs, Senior Consultant at Human Resource Institute Vision Hous;, and Mr. Wayne Hunter, Manager at Tokyo American Club.
