Ambassador Fatimie expresses condolences over the loss of Georgian soldiers

June 10, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie visited the Embassy of Georgia where he signed a condolence book in memory of Georgian soldiers martyred in Afghanistan. In his message, Dr. Fatimie offered sincerest condolences on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The full text of the message follows below:

I, along with the people and the Government and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, are filled with grief over the loss of the seven brave Georgians in Afghanistan. These seven soldiers served in order that the people of Afghanistan could live safer and freer and so that terrorists can encroach no more. They embodied the nobility of the Georgian nation and people. Their martyrdom is a great loss for their beloved nation, for Afghanistan, and for the world. Let us forever remember the great efforts of these seven heroes.
