Ambassador Fatimie attends reception honoring Anniversary of Accession to the throne of H.M King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussain and Independence Day of Jordan

June 13, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie attended a reception at Hotel Okura in Tokyo to mark the 14th Anniversary of Accession to the throne of H.M King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussain and the Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

On this most auspicious occasion, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the honor of wishing H.E. Ambassador Demiye Haddad, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, most cordial congratulations. Furthermore, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie stressed that Jordan has been and remains a key ally in Afghanistan and the region’s peace and development, expressing deepest appreciation for the partnership that has been generously extended thus far.

Ambassador Fatimie also had the honor of meeting with several key guests in attendance, including H.E. Senior Vice-Minister of the Cabinet Office Yasutoshi Nishimura; Hon. Councillor Dr. Kazuyuki Hamada, a dear friend pictured above, second from the right; Hon. Councillor Motohiro Ono, Deputy, Director of the International Affairs Department of the Democratic Party of Japan, pictured above, left; H.E. Chief of Protocol for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Sumio Kusaka; Deputy Director-General for Policy Evaluation at the Ministry of Finance Toshiaki Hamada; and Mr. Minoru Tagawa of the JCP. To these highly important Japanese friends, the Ambassador expressed sincerest gratitude for the life-bettering and empowering support that Japan has been extending to Afghanistan, expressing the important role that each individual plays in strengthening bonds and facilitating real progress. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was additionally able to meet with a number of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of missions in Tokyo and other prominent guests.
