Ambassador Fatimie welcomes students from Mikawa Jr. High

June 7, 2013: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie welcomed to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo 36 students and 3 instructors from Mikawa Jr. High School in Nagoya. The students visited Tokyo and the Embassy as part of a school excursion.

Welcoming the children to the Embassy, Ambassador Fatimie called on these future leaders to learn more about Afghanistan’s history, culture, and love for peace, and to help to encourage even closer ties between the two nations.

The visitors were then given a tour of the Embassy by Mr. Jason Pratt, Public Affairs Officer, and the Embassy’s Internship team. The visitors were also able to enjoy Afghan tea and snacks and to speak with Embassy officials.
