12,000 children to get enhanced education thanks to Japan, other educational developments announced

13 madrasas and 8-classroom schools were built in the Jabalussaraj district of central Parwan province with the assistance of the Japanese government. Some 12,000 students will benefit from these schools. An inauguration ceremony was attended by H.E. Minister of Education Farooq Wardak.

After one year of construction, a new 6-classroom high school building was inaugurated in Nangarhar province with assistance from Germany. The building was constructed to deal with the shortage of classrooms for the 500 attending students.

A computer/IT education center was opened in Be Be Fatoma girl’s high school in Kunar province with the support of Roshan Communication Company. The center has 5 computers.
