Vice-President Terms Tehran Visit Constructive

TEHRAN, December 27 (Fars News Agency)

Vice-President Abdul Karim Khalili termed his recent visit to Tehran as "constructive and positive".

He made the remarks while talking to reporters upon return from Tehran.

Khalili said his talks with Iranian officials focused on issues of mutual interest, including Iran's contribution to Afghan reconstruction process.

Iran and Afghanistan are two friendly and neighboring countries which share many historic, cultural, religious and linguistic commonalties, he added according to the Islamic republic news agency.

During his stay in Tehran, Khalili met and conferred with senior officials, including President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, and his counterpart Ali Saeedlou.
